The Location

Located in northern Portugal, just 30 minutes from the famous city of Porto, Esposende is a relaxed coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, excellent food and welcoming atmosphere.

The region offers a perfect balance for riders and supporters. Traditional restaurants, cafés and shops line the town centre, while the surrounding coastline and natural parks provide endless opportunities for exploration.

Porto, one of Europe’s most historic and visually striking cities, sits just to the south. Its riverside setting, famous bridges and renowned food and wine scene make it an essential part of the Portuguese experience.

The Accommodation

The tour begins with one night in the heart of Porto, allowing riders to experience this vibrant UNESCO-listed city before transferring north along the coast to Esposende.

The main tour accommodation is located just minutes from the stables and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The hotel features a swimming pool, restaurant and bar, providing a comfortable and social base for riders and supporters.

The logistics

The base package includes hotel-style accommodation in a standard twin share room. Single option available at additional cost.

The base competition package includes the option to compete up to 1.10m. For riders aiming to compete at 1.20m level, a limited number of upgraded horses are available. An additional €1225 applies to reflect the higher quality horse lease and increased competition costs associated with this division. The 1.20m division is subject to horse availability and rider suitability.

In the lead up to departure, the GAT team will provide full administrative support, including travel guidance, insurance requirements and detailed logistics to ensure a seamless experience.
