GAT 2024 to kick off in Mexico!

Happy New Year! 2024 is off to a flying start for the Global Amateur Tour with our first tour of the year kicking off in Mexico City in just a few months time. 

Famous for its ancient pyramids, tacos and margaritas to name a few, Mexico is undoubtedly one of our most popular tour locations and this year we are offering both a training tour AND our marquee internationally recognised competition tour so there is truly something for everyone! We even have supporter packages available for those wanting to soak up the atmosphere and experience from the ground. 

In our 10 day training tour held from the 5–15th April, selected riders will have the opportunity to hone their flatwork and jumping skills with international Grand Prix riders at a world class venue.

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of this tour is the chance to witness the third stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, taking place at the stunning venue of Campo Marte in the heart of Mexico City which previously hosted Olympic Games Dressage and individual Showjumping events. At over 2000m above sea level, it is one of the most spectacular events on the LGCT circuit, extending the footprint of the Championship in the Americas.

Our competition tour, held from the 7– 17th June, will see selected riders participate on quality European bred horses in the hotly contested Quintas Ecuestre CSI 2*. 

The best part about this tour is that it offers not one but FIVE categories!

As our 2023 Masters competitor Gail Richardson would say, “you’re only as old as you feel!” At just 72 years young, Gail certainly proved that age is no barrier jumping the most magnificent clear round on the final competition day to finish up as one of the highest placed foreigners overall. 

So if you’re always dreamed of training or representing your country on the world stage now is your chance.

And if you’re going all that way, you will no doubt also want a few days Rnr at the end of this exciting week…  The famed powdery white-sand beaches and turquoise seas of Playa del Carmen and Cancun are just a short flight away!
