Meet the Riders: GAT USA Hybrid Training & Competition Tour 2026

We are thrilled to introduce the riders selected for the GAT USA Hybrid Training & Competition Tour, and to mark another milestone in Global Amateur Tour history. After our first visit to Ocala in March, we are heading back to the Horse Capital of the World this November for our very first hybrid eventing and showjumping tour, featuring Ronny Riemer and Boyd Martin!
Travelling from Australia, the United Kingdom and across the USA, this group will train with two of the biggest names in the sport, 4x Olympian Boyd Martin and German Grand Prix showjumper Ronny Riemer, before stepping into competition in Ocala.

And one rider simply cannot get enough! Fleur Granier-Deferre, who joined us in Portugal AND the UK earlier this year, returns to the GAT family once again for her next international adventure.
A Tour Like No Other
Set in the heart of Ocala, Florida, home to more than 400 thoroughbred farms and the largest equestrian centre in the USA.
Spanning eleven unforgettable nights, from 29 October to 9 November, this exclusive experience combines world-class training, top-quality competition and exceptional social experiences.
Riders will enjoy accommodation at the spectacular World Equestrian Center, a world-class equestrian destination boasting two luxury hotels, swimming pools, a spa, exceptional dining options and more than 30 boutique shops, all just steps from the action.
All training and competition takes place at Sweet Dixie South, one of Ocala's premier high-performance facilities. With more than 200 cross-country fences and having recently hosted the US Eventing Team squad training, this is a truly elite environment.
What to Expect
Across eleven unforgettable days, riders will take part in:
4 days of training with Boyd Martin and Ronny Riemer
3 days of Local Champions Tour competition, finishing with a Sunday Derby Day Finale
Carefully selected competition horses, matched to each rider
Stable tours, demonstrations and seminars with industry experts
A full sightseeing day, including Universal Studios.
Flatwork. Gymnastics. Cross-country. Courses. Confidence.
This dual-discipline format is designed to develop complete, confident and competitive riders, whether their focus is eventing or showjumping.
Coaching with Boyd Martin and Ronny Riemer
For this special USA edition, GAT is proud to partner with two of the most respected names in international sport.
Boyd Martin is one of the most well-known event riders in the world. A four-time Olympian and Pan American Games double gold medallist, he is one of only two riders to have completed every CCI5* event worldwide and has been named U.S. Rider of the Year eight times. Boyd will lead two days of performance-focused training across flatwork, showjumping and extensive cross-country schooling.
Ronny Riemer, known around the world as The German Riding Instructor, is a Grand Prix showjumper with more than two decades in the sport horse industry. Originally from Germany, he honed his skills under Franke Sloothaak and Paul Schockemöhle before building a career across Europe and North America. In 2015, Ronny and his wife Chanel founded RCR Equestrian Inc. in Ocala.
Ronny's teaching focuses on rider balance, clear communication with the horse and a forward rhythm, letting horses do their job without micromanaging. Many GAT riders already know him from our previous tours in Ocala. Ronny will lead two days of showjumping training, from flatwork and gymnastics to course riding and performing under pressure.
Our dedicated Chef d'Equipes will support riders throughout, both in and out of the arena.
More Than Just Riding
Ocala is a destination in its own right.
From the crystal-clear springs and glass-bottom boats of Silver Springs to the thrills of Universal Studios, canyon zip-lining and championship golf, there is something for everyone off the horse.
And then there is Derby Day.
The week closes with a prestigious Derby Day Finale, finishing the tour in true GAT style.
For these ten riders, this is the chance to:
Train with an Olympian and a Grand Prix showjumper
Ride at a US Eventing Team training venue
Compete in the Horse Capital of the World
Finish on an unforgettable Derby Day
Build friendships and memories that last a lifetime
Follow the Journey
With riders now preparing to arrive in Florida from all corners of the world, the adventure is about to begin.
