Two Aussie Riders, Two Incredible Opportunities

The Global Amateur Tour doesn’t end when the tour does. Often, it is just the beginning.
This year, two talented Australian riders proved exactly that. Caitlin Pritchard and Paige Baxter came to Mexico to compete at the CSI2* International and left with career-changing opportunities they never saw coming.
Caitlin Pritchard 🇦🇺
Caitlin rode her way into Puebla with the same determination she brings to everything, and it showed. Throughout the week, she produced a clear round in the GAT 1.10, backed it up with a double clear in the Championship, and carried that composure into the jump-off on Finals Day to secure a top-10 finish.
Caitlin made such a strong impression on the Mexican showjumping community that she was offered a coveted three-month working student position with Martha and Salvador Sesin. She is now riding, training and competing with Team Sesin Equestrian, one of Mexico’s leading professional programmes, gaining the kind of experience most amateur riders only dream of.

Paige Baxter 🇦🇺
It wasn’t long into the tour before Paige realised she wouldn’t, in fact, be travelling back to Australia. While she was still building her partnership with her borrowed horse and preparing for the CSI2*, word reached eventing World Number Five and Global Amateur Tour USA trainer Boyd Martin about the young Australian making waves in Puebla.
Impressed by what he saw, Boyd offered Paige a working student position on the spot.
Of course, Paige jumped at the opportunity. As soon as her GAT Mexico experience wrapped up, she changed her travel plans and headed straight to Windurra USA, where she is now training within one of the world’s premier eventing operations, learning from one of the very best in the business.
