GAT Mexico Day 1 Highlights

Round one of the competition here at GAT Mexico is off to a flying start with results coming in hot! ✈️ Karen Owens (Great Britain), Allison Johnson (USA), and Michelle Coombes (New Zealand) ” jumping spectacular rounds in the Masters Low (1m) to finish 🥉, 5th and 6th respectively and Posie Sutherland from Australia 🇦🇺 leading the charge in the Children’s Low (1m) to finish 10th.

In the Masters High (1.10m), Katrin Redetzki from Germany 🇩🇪 and last year’s overall Master’s High champion posted the fastest time in the jump-off but with an unlucky 4 faults to finish 8th.

In our Children’s High (1.10m), Australian riders Kadell Sykes and Harriet Smith jumped the most incredible double clears to finish 2nd and 6th.

Last but certainly not least was the amateur championship (1.20m). April Davies (Australia) posted a superb double clear on the legendary “Huatabampo”. Unfortunately, they were not fast enough to place, but they won our hearts! 🥰 Skye Hosie (Australia) just touched the last rail for an unlucky 4 faults and Amy Evans (Wales) finished on 8 faults.

Tomorrow the Master’s Low, Children Low, and Amateurs will jump the second round of their respective championships while the Children’s High enjoy a day off! 🛌

Stay tuned for more updates!🇲🇽🙌
