2025 was a landmark year for the Global Amateur Tour. It was bigger, broader, and more global than ever before. Across Europe, the Americas, and beyond, riders stepped into new arenas, new cultures, and new challenges, united by one shared goal. Grow as riders and experience the world through horses.
From elite training tours to international competitions, 2025 showcased exactly what GAT is about. Opportunity, connection, and unforgettable experiences on and off the horse.
A truly global season
This year, GAT riders travelled to Portugal, France, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and the USA, representing dozens of countries and competing, training, and learning alongside world-class coaches and horses. Whether adapting to borrowed mounts in championship arenas or refining technique at top European facilities, every tour carried the same GAT DNA. High performance, inclusivity, and camaraderie.
Portugal: Confidence, culture and connection
Portugal delivered multiple standout tours in 2025, from high-performance training experiences to the first-ever Adults Only Training Tour, blending elite coaching with rich cultural immersion. Riders trained with international-level coaches, explored national parks on horseback, tackled canyoning adventures, and finished with show-style competitions that highlighted just how much progress can be made in a single week.
France: Château life to CSI5★
GAT France was a masterclass in balance, combining structured training, mindset and course design workshops, and a Nations Cup-style competition, all while living château-side in Normandy. The tour culminated at the iconic Dinard CSI5★, where riders walked Grand Prix tracks and experienced top-level sport in one of the most atmospheric venues in the world.
Germany: Two tours, one iconic experience
Germany 2025 ran twice, and for good reason. Training at elite sporthorse facilities, mindset coaching, mock competitions, and the introduction of a GAT Nations Cup-style team format made these tours unforgettable. Both groups attended CHIO Aachen, witnessing the very pinnacle of global equestrian sport across jumping, dressage, and eventing. It was a bucket-list moment for riders from around the world.
Mexico: International competition, cultural immersion
Mexico continued to define what makes GAT competition tours so unique. Riders from five continents competed at CSI2* level on borrowed horses, proudly parading their flags under international lights. Beyond the arena, cultural immersion from Teotihuacan to Puebla turned teammates into lifelong friends.
Brazil: High stakes, high energy
GAT Brazil ran alongside the prestigious Longines CSI-W 4*, giving riders exposure to top-tier international competition in one of South America’s most electric equestrian environments. From rapid horse trials to standout championship performances, Brazil showcased courage, adaptability, and the true global spirit of GAT.
USA: A GAT first
2025 marked GAT’s first-ever Hybrid Tour in the USA, combining training, education, cultural experiences, and international-level competition in Ocala, Florida. Partnered with the LCT Ocala Tour and famed German Riding Instructor Ronny Riemer, riders competed across multiple divisions, trained with world-class coaches, and experienced the full depth of American equestrian culture, from elite facilities to unforgettable off-horse adventures.
New chapters began in 2025
This year also delivered major milestones for GAT:
Launch of GAT’s first-ever eventing tours in the UK
Introduction of the Germany Winter Tour
Expansion of hybrid tour formats
And yes, more announcements still to come
More than a tour
In every country, one thing remained constant. Riders arrived as strangers and left as a global family. 2025 was filled with firsts, breakthroughs, shared laughter, and moments that will stay with our riders forever.
Thank you to every rider, coach, host, and supporter who made 2025 such an extraordinary year. The Global Amateur Tour is growing, and we are only just getting started.
